The cuts, effective in early May, are meant both to consolidate management and to provide more local decisions about merchandise and marketing, said Macy's spokesman Jim Sluzewski. But don't worry, he said. They won't affect any store-based workers, and no stores are closing.
"You will still have the same salespeople you have been working with," he said.
Wow, that guy is a real deuchebag. Are there people that are actually relieved that salespeople are not being let go? He just dropped a giant turd on everyone you work with.
